RETRO HEARTBEAT and Future....
Hey everyone! I am excited to share that I've finished a triplet called RETRO HEARTBEAT with three new, original, and really fun songs. They're family friendly and fun pop songs. I'm going to be working on more mature stuff in the future, maybe not necessarily pop though.
I always talk about cool stuff I'm working on but never particularly straight-forward so I want to actually be clear about what I'm working on. What you will actually see most frequently will probably be YouTube video uploads I've been trying to prioritize. I'm also brainstorming HOW to create a patreon focused around songwriting and educational content. Soundrop has been off this year so far, so I have put my cover plans on hold for the most-part but I plan to pick that up as soon as I can. I was working on a cover of Sentient 6 by Nevermore, Bumper Cars by Alex & Sierra, and I wanted to do Mr. Blue Sky by ELO and many more The Beatles covers. I wanted to do more classics also, like Fortunate Son by CCR.
I'm working on the 20 year anniversary remake of SHROUDED DESTINY for my band Rainwound. This will possibly be the last full album I record with my legendary Schecter C-1 Classic that has been with me for my whole career. I have a guitar I am planning to use for the next phase of my music career to perhaps shake things up a bit, and get a new sound. It'll be here sooner than later -- I'm going to reveal it on YouTube and Facebook when the time comes. I'm going to make a better effort on Instagram also. I have a lot of fans or at least a lot of listeners but no real comments or fan engagement and I would like to figure out how to change that.
With regards to fans and friends, I want to make new ones while not scaring away any old ones. I'm going to keep doing what I'm known for while also trying new things. I'm planning to do that with new "band names" or project names, a project with its own name and aesthetic and musical style. I'll link these projects to myself so that people will be able to find them linked to me, or listen to the project on its own without finding it through me. That could give whatever projects or genre a chance to take off and stand on its own, but also be part of my overall portfolio on streaming.
After Rainwound, I was honestly thinking of doing new original Rainwound to follow-up the remake. I don't really do music the same way I did 20 years ago. I was also thinking of trying to do guitar-oriented punk, or fusion of some kind.
I also was thinking another specific sound RETRO-sequel would be great. I've thought of the titles "RETRO BRAINWAVE" and "RETRO WAVELENGTH". I may use those eventually for follow-ups to RETRO HEARTBEAT.
A ton of projects, and I'm still focused on smaller clients when possible, and the Final Fantasy 3 project for OC ReMix. I'm hoping to get that moving sooner than later. It's a busy schedule with a day job and two hurricane babies that are very demanding, but so inspiring, and I'm excited for what the future holds. Thanks for all your support!
